India Post has officially released the notification for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill 21,413 vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), including Branch Post Master (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM), and Dak Sevak positions. The online application process will close today, March 3, 2025. However, applicants will have the opportunity to edit or correct their applications from March 6 to March 8, 2025. Selection will be based on merit.

India Post started the registration process for 21413 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) vacancies on February 10, 2025. The GDS online application form is released along with the notification PDF on the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The online application process began on February 10 and will open until March 3, 2025. The correction window will open on March 6 and will close on March 8, 2025. Process to Apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2025

To apply online for India Post GDS Recruitment 2025, candidates can follow the steps given below. 

Step-1: Visit the official India Post GDS recruitment portal https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. 

Step-2: Click on the registration link and fill in the required details such as name, date of birth, mobile number and, email ID. After submitting, you will receive a unique registration number and password on your registered email and mobile number.  

Step-3: Once registration is done, login to the account using the registration number and password. 

Step-4: Complete the application form by providing personal details, educational qualification, and other relevant information. 

Step-5: Upload scanned copies of necessary documents such as your recent passport-sized photograph, signature and any other required certificate. 

Step-6: Pay the application fee online through available payment methods like credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. 

Step-7: Review the filed application form thoroughly and make sure all details are accurate.

India Post Office GDS Application Fee 2025

Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. However payment of fee is exempted for  SC, ST, PwD, and women candidates. The application fee should be done through online mode only. 

• UR/EWS/OBC (Male): Rs. 100/- 

• SC/ST/PwD/Women: No fee 

India Post Office GDS Eligibility 2025

• Educational Qualification: Candidates who want to apply for the India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts should have passed 10th Class or SSC with Mathematics and English Subjects. The candidate must have studied the local language at least up to Class 10.

• Age Limit: The minimum age of candidates can be 18 years, and it cannot be more than 40 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit has been given to reserve category candidates.

• Adequate means of livelihood

India Post GDS Selection Process 2025 

Merit Basis Selection

• Selection will be done on the basis of a system-generated merit list. The Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of recognised Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. 
• For applicants where the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet contains the marks as mentioned in each subject or marks and Grade/Points both, their total marks will be worked out by taking into account the 'marks obtained'. 
• This merit list will be prepared state-wise or circle-wise. Subsequently, candidates will be called for document verification. 

No Written Test/Interview

Unlike many other recruitment process, there is no require for a written test or interview. Selection is solely based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. 

India Post GDS Salary 2025

The selected candidate will be paid under the Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) system, with annual increment of 3%, subject to fulfilment of conditions, as given in the GDS Rules. In addition to the basic pay GDS employees will receive Dearness allowances, GDS Gratuity and Service Discharge Benefit Scheme (akin to National Pension System applicable to regular employees), and various social security benefits as per the Government of India's declaration. 

The monthly salary for Branch Post Master (BPM) ranges from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 29,380, while Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM) and Dak Sevak intitled to a salary between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 24,470 depending on the job category and location.
