Candidates applying for RRB ALP 2025 must meet the require eligibility criteria regarding educational qualifications, age limit, and physical fitness. 

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

  • Matriculation (10th Pass) + ITI in a relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT.
  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile).

RRB ALP Selection Process 2025

The RRB ALP Selection process consist of multiple stages to ensure the recruitment of skilled candidates. It begins with CBT-1, a screening test covering Mathematics, Reasoning, General Science, and Awareness. Qualified candidates proceed to CBT-2, which is more in-depth and assesses technical knowledge. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) 

The ALP CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) is the third stage of the RRB ALP 2025 selection process, conducted for candidates who qualify CBT-2. This test is specifically designed to assess the mental and psychological abilities required for locomotive operations.

Features of ALP CBAT: 

  • Objective: Evaluates cognitive skills necessary for safe and efficient train operation. 
  • Test Components: Includes multiple test batteries, each assessing different aspects of a candidate’s aptitude. 
  • Skills Tested: Focuses on memory retention, concentration, depth perception, spatial visualization, reflexes, and decision-making speed
  • Scoring: Candidates must secure a minimum of 42% in each test battery to qualify. 
  • No Negative Marking: Answers are assessed based on accuracy without penalties for incorrect responses. 
  • Language Options: The test is available in both English and Hindi for accessibility. 


Medical and Physical Fitness Requirements

Candidates must meet Railway medical standards, including:

  • Vision: 6/9 in one eye, 6/12 in another (without glasses).
  • Hearing: No hearing impairment.
  • General Fitness: Must be physically fit to work as a Loco Pilot. 

Railway RRB ALP Salary 2025

Candidates selected for RRB ALP 2025 will receive a salary structured as per Level 2 of the 7th Pay Commission, ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month. In addition to the basic salary, they will also be entitled to various allowances, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other perks as per railway rules.
