Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Recruitment 2025 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions specified in their district notification to qualify for application. 

Educational Qualifications

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):

  • Completion of a Two-Year Integrated Postgraduate Program with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) in the relevant subject. OR
  • A Master's Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) in the concerned subject. 


Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

  • A Four-Year Integrated Degree Course in the respective subject from an NCTE-recognized institution, securing a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates). OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Science in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) along with a B.Ed. degree or a Three-Year Integrated B.A. B.Ed. from an NCTE-approved institution. 

OAVS PGT & TGT Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 65 years (Retired individuals are eligible to apply)

OAVS TGT and PGT Salary 2025

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary based on their appointed position. Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) will earn ₹25,000 per month, while Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) will receive ₹20,000 per month. These positions are purely contractual, and no additional allowances, such as Dearness Allowance (DA) or House Rent Allowance (HRA), will be provided.

  • PGT Salary: ₹25,000 per month
  • TGT Salary: ₹20,000 per month
