Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP): 

Matriculation / SSLC, ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman  

OR,

Matriculation / SSLC, Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above 

OR

3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering 

OR

Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized Institution in lieu of ITI. 

Candidates with Degrees in the Engineering disciplines mentioned above can also apply.

Railway ALP Recruitment 2024 Physical/Medical Standard:

• Medical Standard - A1

• Physical Standard - Should physically fit in all standard 

• Distant Vision Standard - 6/6, 6/6 without glasses with fogging test (must not accept +2D) 

• Near Vision - Sn: 0.6. 0.6 without glasses 

• Candidates must pass test for Color Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Mesopic Vision etc.

Railway Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment 2024 Exam Pattern:

CBT - 1 Examination:

• Total Number of Questions - 75 

• Total Marks - 75 marks 

• There shall be 1/3 negative marking for each wrong answer 

• Time Duration - 60 minutes

Subjects: Mathematics, Mental Ability, General Science, General Awareness 

CBT - 2 Examination (Part-A & Part-B):

Part-A:

• Total Number of Questions - 100 

• There shall be 1/3 negative marking for each wrong answer 

• Time Duration - 90 minutes 

Subjects: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering 

Part-B:

• Total Number of Questions - 75 

• There shall be 1/3 negative marking for each wrong answer. 

• Time Duration - 60 minutes. 

• Part-B is qualifying nature where as questions from related trade. 

Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT):

• Only shortlisted candidates who qualify in CBT-2  both in Part-A & Part-B.  

• There shall be no negative marking.  

• Such shortlisted candidates should produce vision certificate in prescribe format. 

• It is mandatory to clear each battery / section of CABT separately. 

• All candidates must secure a minimum T-score of 42 marks in each test battery separately.

Railway ALP Recruitment 2024 Merit List: The merit list prepared only from amongst candidates qualifying in CBAT. 70% weightage will be given for marks obtained in Part-A of CBT-2 AND 30% weightage for score obtained in the CBAT.

Railway Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment 2024 Salary: Selected candidates for the post of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot will be paid a monthly salary as mentioned in the RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 notification. Candidates appointed for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post will be paid Pay Level-2 as per 7th pay matrix having pay range Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200/- and other allowances as applicable to employees of Indian Railway, Govt of India.
